Here are a few real facts about real Christmas trees.

Whether you pick yours up at a store, a tree stand, or cut it your self at a tree farm, you are helping the environment! Farmers grow Christmas trees especially for the holidays and it takes roughly 8 to 12 years to grow a medium-sized tree. During its life on the farm, the tree is taking in carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen, helping to clean our air and slow climate change.

After Christmas, the trees are recyclable and most cities have programs to pick up your holiday tree and grind it into mulch to help our soil.

It’s a joyous cycle that brightens our holidays and helps the Earth. Think about this, no matter how many years you reuse an artificial tree, someday it will get thrown away and end up in a landfill for the next 1000 years!
